Description

Life at Greater Love Church seems to be buzzing with renewed faith and hope after Pastor Johnson’s near-death experience, but behind the scenes, the drama is far from over. Pastor Johnson is ready to transition the church to Elder Roscoe but he is grappling with a heavy burden: he owes a significant debt to his estranged brother, Kerby, and if he can’t find the cash soon, the church that’s been in his family for three generations might be lost.  Can he mend the fractured bond with Kerby and save the church, or will the pressure of his debt pull him in?

Meanwhile, his nephew Darius, who has been trying to turn his life around, might be slipping back into his old ways. With his best friend Sam by his side, they get caught up in a risky scheme that could land Darius back in trouble—or worse, behind bars. In the midst of this turmoil, Darius’s grandmother—a fierce prayer warrior—intercedes on his behalf, unleashing an avalanche of divine intervention just when he needs it most.

First Lady Claretta Johnson, ever the dedicated partner, is all set to launch a prayer conference with First Lady Jenny and Priscilla. But as they gather, what unfolds is a flood of sharing—both the blessings and burdens of their lives. Claretta finds herself confronted with unexpected truths that shake up their seemingly perfect lives. What starts as a simple gathering turns into a heartfelt sharing session, revealing that being a First Lady isn’t just isn’t all glitz and glamour; it’s a rollercoaster of ups and downs, filled with struggles and sacrifices. As Claretta supports her friends, she wrestles with her own hidden secrets bubbling to the surface, the weight of her role begins to feel almost too heavy to bear.

In “The First Lady,” you’ll find yourself immersed in a beautiful blend of comedy, drama and gospel music and heartfelt storytelling that truly resonates. This stage play doesn’t just entertain—it uplifts your spirit, filling your heart with hope and joy. As you follow the characters, you’ll experience their struggles and triumphs, all while laughing and grooving to soulful melodies that encourage you to embrace your own victories. It’s a celebration of faith, resilience, and the power of God to transform lives, leaving you smiling and ready to conquer whatever comes your way!
